Chicken Shawarma Recipe

This Chicken Shawarma recipe is so simple to make and tastes delicious. It’s so juicy and packed full of middle eastern flavor. It serves up nicely with a israeli style salad.

We’ve tried this recipe with chicken mini fillets and boneless thighs and I can say they are great with both but the thighs definitely have more flavor due to the higher fat content.

There are a lot of herbs and spices that go into making the marinade for this Chicken Shawarma Recipe and I’ve tinkered with dry and fresh ingredients for the marinade and frankly dried ingredients are easier to use as don’t perish and can be stored for longer.

For best results they say to marinade the chicken for 24 hours but I have been able to do this in just 20 minutes. It still tastes great, although with a longer marinade there is more flavor through the chicken.
